Facebook is interested to open "Business Center" in Bangladesh, not "Admin Panel"

Earlier December 2015, Bangladesh ICT Ministry seek an attention from Facebook to open an Facebook Admin Panel in Bangladesh. Even in Bangladesh Facebook and other social medias were shut downed for more than 20 days in December 2015. 2 Facebook officials visited that time in Bangladesh. And this month January 2016, ICT Minister of Bangladesh Taran Halim joined in a meeting with Facebook officials in Singapore.

In back ICT Ministry of Bangladesh requested and submitted 3 expectations of Bangladeshi Government from Facebook. Bangladesh ICT Ministry asked for 3 (three) things. And they are - The want a Facebook admin Office in Bangladesh, Filtering and Moderation option, Dual Information sharing related deal.  

Facebook agreed to open a Business Center in Bangladesh but not an Admin Panel. But they will open a Business Center in here only if they found any chances, availability and opportunity of doing business in here. Tarana Halim said, "Admin Panel is not that thing what we were expecting. It is from where they pay's salary to their employees and handles Marketing and Distribution related things. So its all like a Financial type of business office."

She added that "Facebook created a list of countries and places where they are interested to set up there a Business Center. And Bangladesh is available in their list already. But before that, they will do RnD on market research and possible business value. After being satisfied, they will set up a Business Center in here Bangladesh."

Basically, Facebook uses their Admin Panel only for their daily works and Marketing related stuff. And the reason Bangladesh requested to set up an Admin Panel in Bangladesh, Facebook will take care of it urgently if they get's a report from Bangladesh.

Facebook also not interested to set up here a Network Admin Office at Bangladesh. It is not possible due to Policy related issues, Facebook officials confirmed that. Facebook will set up a Business office in Bangladesh very soon but they will not be able to help anyone about filtering content from that office. It means Facebook is not interested in Content Filtering in Bangladesh like any other countries. Cause Facebook has its own policy and they will not break it. Local Office never handles report or filtering related issues. But about setting up Business Office in Asia's different places, Facebook is still not finalized or confirmed any next destination place.

But as a Digital Marketer, I can say that it is not that much far. Facebook will set up their Business Center in here very soon. Because day by day online shopping and eCommerce is getting popularity in Bangladesh. But this story got positive and negative both types of Vibe. It's a Dream of Businesses but it could be a nightmare for Individuals.
