Introduction:

Terrorism is not at all a new thing. In Bangladesh, it is also known. But recent years terrorists activities just shook the floor of all of us. We are thundered, astonished, shocked because of the type of attackers. Most of them are from well known family and rich. Let’s know what could be the reason behind this.

Here we are focusing on recent militants and terrorists attacks in Bangladesh. So all the analytical reports are regarding recent scenario.

Why not Madrasah students? Why private university and talented students who studies abroad?

In back, we have seen the involvement of Madrasah students in the militant and terrors attack. But now a day, the scenario is changed totally. Attacking leaders are now using private university students. And who studies abroad. Manipulating them is easier than Madrasah students. And if they can manipulate them, then our young generation will be destroyed totally. This is their actual targets.

What is “Amaq Agency”, “Site Intelligence” & Who is “Rita Katz”?

Amaq Agency –

Amaq News Agency is an online news outlet associated with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Although not officially part of the media organization of ISIL, it facilitates the organization’s propaganda. Its reports are distinct by a comparatively toned down and more neutral wording in contrast to official ISIL "jihadist hyperbole", as a result of it being allowed to develop somewhat separately of the group.

Site Intelligence –

SITE Intelligence Group is a for-profit Bethesda, Maryland-based company that tracks online activity of white supremacist and jihadist organizations. From 2002 to 2008, SITE Intelligence Group was known as the Search for International Terrorist Entities (SITE) Institute. SITE is led by the Israeli analyst Rita Katz.

Rita Katz (born 1963) is a terrorism analyst and the co-founder of the Search for International Terrorist Entities (SITE) Intelligence Group, a private intelligence firm based in Washington, DC

What they actually want to do? Why the claims? Who will be beneficiary by this?

Basically, their main target is to create fear. Because after every single attack, they spread some rumors with a date of future attacks. People start panic about this during that period. In most of the cases nothing happened but still people stay securely. And about the beneficiary, it is still not cleared in case of Bangladesh.

How young’s are getting involved with these militant activities?

These are some reasons behind why they are becoming militants:

1. Distance with family

2. Wrong use of independency

3. Wrong choice of friends

4. Frustration in personal life

5. Less chances for recreations

6. Lack of knowledge about Religion like Islam

And many more.

May be you will think that this are fake issues. But sorry to say this are true. Cause every ones stamina is not same. Tolerance capabilities, understand, patience, thinking capacity etc. is not same for everyone. We still can easily find some human who cuts their veins after losing their love or commits suicide. So every matter counts in this case.

How they are involving themselves with militants, is a mystery. They are connected with a big chain and its chain of command is connected with the other countries militants. ISIS, ABT (Ansarullah Bangla Team), Hijbut Tahreer, JMB (Jamayatul Mujahedeen Bangladesh) are the main team behind their brainwash.

Recent militant terror attacks in Bangladesh:

An Al Qaeda affiliate hacked to death five bloggers and publishers in 2015 for their alleged position ‘against Islam’. In the latest of series of such attacks, on October 31, 2015, secular blogger and Jagriti Prakashani publisher, Faisal Arefin Dipan (40), was hacked to death at his office in Aziz Super Market, Dhaka city.

Bangladesh was also stunned by the killing of two foreign nationals in 2015. On October 3, 2015, Japanese national Hoshi Kunio (66) was gunned down by three unidentified assailants in the Kaunia sub-District of Rangpur District. On September 28, 2015, an Italian charity worker, Cesare Tavella (50), a technical director working with the Netherlands-based Interchurch Organization for Development Cooperation (ICCO), was killed in Dhaka city's Gulshan area. The IS claimed the killings, though Dhaka maintained that they were locally orchestrated, and that IS had no presence in the country.

IS also claimed a suicide attack at the Chokpara Ahmadiyya Jamaat Mosque in Bagmara sub-District of Rajshahi District on December 25, 2015, in which one person (the suicide bomber) was killed and another three were injured. The last suicide attack in Bangladesh was recorded on November 13, 2010, in which three persons, including the two attackers who carried the bomb and one civilian, were killed at Taragunia in Kushtia District.

On December 13, 2015, ruling out the existence of IS in Bangladesh, Hasina observed, "There's no IS in Bangladesh. So far probes into the [recent] incidents [killings] have revealed that their [killers] motives were primarily domestic. Our law enforcement agencies have demonstrated their considerable success in arresting some of the killers of bloggers and foreign nationals.” Similarly, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on December 16, 2015, reiterated, “We are saying always, our Prime Minister also asserts that there is no IS here. We are trying to control such militant groups that are trying to surface.”

In March 14 of this year 2016, Two Hizb-ut Tawhid cadres and a day labourer were killed in a clash between the villagers and cadres of Hizb-ut Tawhid over a dispute for construction of a mosque at Korpora village in Noakhali District. 50 people were also injured in the clash. 113 cadres of Hizb-ut Tawhid were arrested for the incident. 3 killed, 50 injured.

In July 2 of this year 2016, 28 persons including 20 civilians, six militants, and two Police officers were killed in a hostage crisis at Holey Artisan Bakery, a Spanish restaurant at Dhaka city's Gulshan diplomatic zone. Joint Security Force rescued 13 people from the restaurant. Around 53 people were injured in an exchange of gunfire between Police and gunmen. One militant was arrested in the incident. IS claimed responsibility of the attack. A pistol used by terrorists folded butt AK 22 rifle, IED, walkie-talkie set and a large number of locally made sharp weapons were recovered from the spot.

In July 7 during the Eid-ul-Fitr of this year 2016, Four persons including two Policemen, a woman and a militant were killed and 12 others were injured in a bomb blast near the Sholakia Eid congregation in Kishoreganj District.

Despite these simmering, the Government has continued its policy of containing Islamist extremist forces through 2015. A total of 1,888 extremists and terrorists, including 1,729 cadres of JeI and its students’ wing Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS), 83 of the JMB, 16 each of Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HuT) and ABT, 12 of AQIS, nine of Harkat-ul-Jihad-al Islami Bangladesh (HuJI-B), eight of Shaeed Hamja Brigade (SHB), six of Mujahid of Bangladesh, two each of Bangladesh Jihadi Group (BJG) and the HeI, and five who were engaged in IS propaganda and recruitment were arrested. Success of Bangladesh Police in recent days:

Bangladesh Police and other armed forces combined got success in few operations recently. They were successful in:

1.      “Operation Thunderbolt” – at Gulshan, Dhaka. July 2, 2016.

2.      “Operation Storm 26” – at Kallyanpur, Dhaka. July 26, 2016.

3.      “Operation Hit Strong 27” – at Paikpara, Narayanganj. August 27, 2016.

Beside this, they also recently operated few raids in whole Bangladesh. Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit of DMP, Bangladesh Police working hard on this.  They are trying to capturing militants. But if they hits they are fighting back.

After these successful, there is still some confusion and fears are running inside of our brain. They are manipulator. So we need to be conscious all the time. They are our enemy.

Solution - How to solve this problem?

We need to solve this Militants Terrorism as soon as possible. Here are the points below. Just follow them:

Let’s spread Awareness:

We need to spread a lot of awareness about this ISIS issue. We cannot hide a single information regarding this. We need aware people in Bus Station, Train Station, Airport, Home, School, College, University and as much as possible places. It can be via bulk sms service or can be a physical campaign.

Stand against Terrorism:

Standing against terrorism can be a better option after spreading awareness. Keep this on your mind, Terrorism do not have any colors, races, groups etc. They are individuals like us. Anyone can be a terrorist. So standing against terrorism can make a difference too. We can show our solidarity against terrorism. We can share our thought and point of views regarding this publicly on social media.

Citizen Journalism:

Citizen Journalism is much important for this case. Please write blogs and articles regarding this militants and terrorists issue. Show the negative sides of being a part of militants and terrorists group. Share on your blog or post on social media.  You can spread news regarding this or you can spread awareness about these terrorist issues.  You can share your knowledge and spread some good words to demote terrorism in here.

Using Social Media Properly:

Even you can write about this topic on social media. You know the power of social media? Powers of Social Media change the Arab. It was the main media of influence for “Arab Spring”. So during this period, please use social media properly. Cause your one sentence can change a whole story. So before writing something or blogging about something, get the actual information’s first. Take time and write or share the true story.

Be Updated:

Be updated about terror attacks regularly. Use news blogs, Google, Google Trends, News giants and other Social Medias to get the latest updates about terror attacks and its possibilities.

Do Not Spread Panic & Rumors:

A lot of people spread rumors. So do not spread Panics and Rumors and avoid hoax. Wrong news is not good for people and societies.

Take Pre-cautions:

Try to take pre-cautions like avoid those people who look suspicious in your eyes. And inform your loving ones about this. Take care of your young teen ager and other family members. Make sure that they are not going to be involved in these terrorist issues.

Stay Sharp and Knowledge full:

Look at the global politics and its standing, read regular news and post. Be updated and stay sharp and knowledge full.

Help Police & RAB:

If you found someone near to you whose personality and attitude is suspicious, please inform your nearest Police Station or RAB.

Militants Need Rehabilitation:

Who recently joined militant groups, they needs rehabilitations. They are totally brainwashed. They do not have enough information about religion. Even these ISIS members who volunteers for them don’t know much about Islam. So they must need to know about the full meaning of Islam.

What Government of Bangladesh can do?

Government of Bangladesh can arrange a program which will create a team in combination of Mufti-Mawlana’s, IT Specialist, Armed Forces and Citizen’s of Bangladesh. These team can work anywhere in Bangladesh to demote Terrorism in Bangladesh. Lack of proper knowledge can do what, we already seen in Bangladeshi terrorists. Now stop! No more.
