How To Verify a Local Business Facebook Page

Now a days Facebook is great media to create a market for a new, existing or niche market product. Even recently Facebook changed the scenario of eCommerce after introducing their latest Facebook for Business's feature. Few days ago I published a post regarding 13 Latest features that changed Facebook Page for Business scenario

Today I came here with a new feature of Facebook. You guys already know about Facebook Page verification. Yes its that "Blue Badge" . Thousands of pages are interested to get this this "Blue Badge" for pages are restricted now. Even for the South Asian Region, Facebook is not providing "Blue Badge" . If you see a blue badge on a Page or profile, it means that Facebook confirmed that this is the authentic Page or profile for this public figure, media company or brand. So this is not easy to get. But there is a solution for this.
Facebook recently launched their "Grey Badge". What its exists for? If you see a gray badge  on a Page, it means that Facebook confirmed that this is an authentic Page for this business or organization. It is also not easy to get "Grey Badge" but it is easier than "Blue Badge". How? If you have an active Local Business Page, you post engagement is good, A number of good quality Facebook Page likes and also your page is responsive to your clients regularly than you have a chance.

To verify your Page:

  • Click > Settings at the top of your Page
  • From > General, click > Page Verification
  • Click > Verify this Page, then click > Get Started
  • Enter a publicly listed phone number for your business, your country and language
  • Click > Call Me Now to allow Facebook to call you with a verification code
  • Enter the 4-digit verification code and click > Continue
If you prefer to verify your Page with a business document, follow the steps above and click Verify this Page with documents instead at the bottom left of the window that appears, then upload a picture of an official document showing your business' name and address.

After Facebook receive your verification code or business document, They will review your info to confirm that it matches public records and send you a notification or email about your verification status within a few days. Keep in mind that you're not required to verify your Page.

So here you go. Here I posted all the details. If you do not found any Page Verification section in your General option, then let me know by submitting a comment in here. Will try to fix the problem if possible. Post a comment here if you gained a "Grey Badge".

Right now, Facebook is not accepting any requests for the blue verification badge in our region. So for now this "Grey Badge" is better choice.

  5. Hi, My business license contains a Bangladeshi address. Name of the business is also written in Bengali. But my facebook page lists a US address. I have "Page Verification" option in the settings section. I tried to verify with my US number but facebook denied saying that the number is not publicly listed. Can you suggest me how to proceed in this situation? Your feedback will be highly appreciated. Thanks.
